PRADA: Women Clothing Brand

PRADA: Brand For Women

Prada S.p.A. is an Italian luxury fashion house, specializing in ready-to-wear leather and fashion accessories, shoes, luggage, perfumes, watches, etc., founded in 1913 by Mario Prada.
In 1913, the company was started by Mario Prada and his brother Martino as a leather goods shop –Fratelli Prada (English: Prada Brothers) – in Milan, Italy. In starting days, the shop sold leather goods and imported English steamer trunks and handbags.
Initially Mario Prada prevented female family members from entering into his company becasuse he did not believe that women should have a role in business. Ironically, Mario's son harbored no interest in the business, so it was his daughter Luisa Prada who took the helm of Prada as his successor, and ran it for almost twenty years. Miuccia Prada, her own daughter, joined the company in 1970, eventually taking over for her mother in 1978.
Miuccia began producing waterproof backpacks out of Pocone. She met Patrizio Bertelli in 1977, an Italian who had begun his own leather goods business at the age of 17, and he joined the company soon after. He advised Miuccia—and she followed the advice—on better decisions for the Prada company. It was his advice to discontinue importing English goods and to change the existing luggage.

Chanel: Women Clothing Brand

Chanel:  Women Clothing

Chanel S.A. a Frenchprivately held company owned by Alain and Gerard Wertheimer, grandsons ofPierre Wertheimer, who was an early business partner of the couturière Coco Chanel. Chanel S.A. is a high fashion house that specializes in haute couture and ready-to-wear clothes, luxury goods and fashion accessories. In her youth, Gabrielle Chanel gained the nickname Coco from her time as a chanteuse. As a fashion designer, Coco Chanel catered to women’s taste for elegance in dress, with blouses and suits, trousers and dresses, and jewellry (gemstone and bijouterie) of simple design, that replaced the opulent, over-designed, and constrictive clothes and accessories of 19th-century fashion.
The House of Chanel is also recognized the “little black dress”, the perfume No. 5 de Chanel, and the Chanel Suit. Chanel’s apply jersey fabric produced garments that were comfortable and affordable. Chanel revolutionized fashion — high fashion (haute couture) and everyday fashion (prêt-à-porter) — by replacing structured-silhouettes, based upon the corset and the bodice, with garments.
In the 1920s, the simple-line designs of Chanel couture made popular the "flat-chested" fashions that were the opposite of the hourglass-figure achieved by the fashions of the late 19th century — the Belle Époque of France (ca. 1890–1914), and the BritishEdwardian Era (ca. 1901–1919). Chanel used colors traditionally associated with masculinity in Europe, such as grey and navy blue, to denote feminine boldness of character. The clothes of the House of Chanel featured quilted fabric and leather trimmings; the quilted construction reinforces the fabric, the design and the finish, producing a garment that maintains its form and function while being worn. An example of such haute couture techniques is the woolen Chanel suit — a knee-length skirt and a cardigan-style jacket, trimmed and decorated with black embroidery and gold-coloured buttons.

lot801: The Kids Brand

lot801: The Kids Brand:

Lindsay Isakson White started Lot801 in 2014 at her kitchen table in Salt Lake City. After becoming a mother and wanting to dress her daughter in hip fashionable clothing, she realized how difficult it was to find clothing for girls that wasn't pink and filled with butterflies. She wanted clothing that wasn't specific for girls or boys, and wondered why the heck she couldn't find ANY black clothing for the little ones. This is when she decided to start Lot801.

Mission

A children's brand for the unorthodox family. Lot801 strives to create unisex clothing that appeals to both the little punks and the fashionable moms. We like to think of ourselves as the black sheep of children's brands, breaking all the rules. We make our own "cool" for creative, curious kids that love to explore the world through their own eyes. Who says girls have to wear pink and boys have to wear blue? Why can't the little ones sport black? We believe in letting children be whoever they want to be.
Lot801 takes pride in creating eco-friendly apparel. Every piece is hand made with love in Salt Lake City with 100% organic cotton and water based inks.
